Linksys PAP2T Setup Guide
To get your new Linksys device up and running with 2talk you will need the following before you start:

- Your Linksys PAP2T
- A laptop or PC
- An analogue phone (Uniden or similar)
- Ethernet Cable
- Access to your DSL/Internet Modem
- Access to power
First you will need to set up your device so that it is connected to the Internet for download of the 2talk Configuration. As part of this you will be required to Factory Reset your device.
Step One
Plug your Linksys PAP2T power supply into the device and then into your power supply
Step Two
Plug your Analogue Phone into the Phone 1 port
Step Three
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the PAP2T and the other into the Ethernet port on your DSL/Internet Modem
Step Four
Pick up your phone handset:
- Dial * * * *
- You should hear a voice prompt "Linksys Configuration Menu, please enter Option followed by the pound key"
- Now press 7 3 7 3 8 # on the keypad
- Next press 1 to confirm.
- Hang up
Step Five
Locate the MAC address of your Linksys device. It can be found on the underside of the device.
Step Six
Now you need to find out the IP Address of your PAP2T on the network to do this follow these instructions:
- Dial * * * *
- You should hear a voice prompt "Linksys Configuration Menu, please enter Option followed by the pound key"
- Now press 1 1 0 # on the keypad
- The IP address should be read back to you. It will be in 4 parts with 'dots' in between. For example: 192.168.0.100
- Take a note of the IP Address and write it down
- Hang up
Step Seven
- Log in to 2talk live and select the Device Provisioning option from the main left hand menu (or click here to open a new window to this page now)
- Select Linksys PAP2T from the Device Type column (if this is not already selected)
- Next enter the MAC address into the text box in the MAC Address column
- Next select the number you wish to assign to each phone port 1 and port 2 from the drop down boxes
- Finally enter the IP Address of your PAP2T which you noted earlier. This will be another IP address on your network.
- Click Add to add the new device to your provisioned list
- While connected to the same network as your Linksys PAP2T still next press the 'Provision Now' button beside the device entry you have just added
Your screen should display the following as your device configures:
PAP2T is updating your configuration. Unit may reset.
You will be redirected to the configuration page in 5 seconds.
If not, you can click HERE to return to the configuration page.
Once you are returned to the configuration page you should be ready to make calls.
The quickest way to check all is working is to pick up the phone handset and see if you have dialtone and make a test call!
NOTE: Once auto-provisioned your device will be assigned a password for 'admin' access to the web interface. The password is the same as your 8 digit 2talk account number
